I believe the bird is a male house finch. The leaf might be an maple leaf.
Very peaceful scene. I think I see little buds on the tree too.
Maryanne,Little buds on trees is a lovely thought.May
The birds help to ease the long winter, don't they?
Debra,They certainly do. It is a comfort to see so many waiting in the treesfor me to put out warm birdseed.May
So neat that you know the birds' and leaves' names. I know the ones who regularly stop by for a visit, but the others, not so much.
Sheri,Regular birds are easier to remember. There are 13 species of maple trees in Vermont forests. May
Yes it is a house finch. I have one in my yard. Love the color. Janice
Janice,They are a nice addition to the regular birds that stop by. I don’t see them often though.May
That's a lovely house finch. We have them here, too.
Lorrie,The hoses finches just showed up this week here. Maybe the blizzard in southern New England put them on the hunt for new food sources.May
Beautiful picture. ❤️ I love finches.
Linda,The male finches do add a nice touch of color.May
Pretty birds
Ashok,The top one is a maple leaf. I had to zoom because it does look like a bird from a distance.May
Elegant and simple.
Jeanie,Nice description.I’ll be painting the image today.May
It's nice that the leaf and the bird had the same predominant color.
Beatrice,Thankfully the light was just right because at a closer look, the colors are a shade off. May
Great shot. At first I thought the leaf was a second bird.
Thank you for visiting
