Reflection Monday November 2014

Scary thought...2015 is only two months away. Do you remember how you felt at midnight on 1 January 2000? Remember YK2? Looking back at 1914, up to this day in history, reflecting on where we will be this time next year feels more like oh what's next than what are the possibilities.

Attitude. Future. Perspective. I feel a good way to spend time is to ponder where we want to be versus where we will be in twelve months. Instead of making New Years resolutions, or not, consider making a mental list of three things you want for your personal life this time next year, material things as well as spiritual and lifestyle.

A genuine vacation

I feel those are fairly simple things, realistic things. But in some lives they are impossible (for various reasons). What is possible is to move towards them, and dream for a place that creates a better life for those efforts.

P.S. Three days later...I correct the title word from refelction to Reflection. I did laugh aloud.

  1. Time is flying.. I do remember the build up to 2000, and now, nearly 15 years later...
Good luck with getting all your achievable dreams xx

    1. Hello Pat,
Speaking of dreams, check out the left colum photo of the fireplace on Houzz (not an ad). Its my dream kitchen. There are rooms, like your studio, that make dreaming easy.
      Have a great week!

    2. I can't even believe it's been that long since the worries about Y2K...time flies SOOOO fast! I like the idea of the three item mental list, my friend. Hope your fall is still a little warm, with no snow yet! XOXO

  2. Oh Maywyn - I sure hope you get your desires met next year. Lovely photo too. It does seem so weird looking back on Y2K - everyone certainly thought the sky was falling. Have learned over the years it is not what you think might happen that gets you but what you don't - lol! Hugs and have a great week.
