Windy Views Along Lake Champlain
I am not getting out of my vehicle.
Biting cold windy
The light green water is sunshine.
The darkers waters are cloud shadows.
Lots of rolling white caps.
As I type, a man and 3 old retrievers are walking along the lawn's lake line.
One old dog trails the rest. The black one stops to turn to check on him.
I hope someday when I am slow older, somebody takes me for a walk,
And turns to check on me.
Cool here today too. Definitely jacket weather when we were outside.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of the dogs to look out for one another.
What a pretty view. That must have been a sight to see the walker with three dogs. I've had Golden Retrievers in the past, and they are great dogs. So nice to surround yourself with nature like this, even if you stay in your car. It was windy here this week also.

Maryanne,
ReplyDeleteGlad y'all got outdoors.
If I had on my down puffer jacket, then I might have taken a short walk. Windy near big water like that is a different kind of cold. The kind that has a big sign, Get Indoors!
Sheri,
ReplyDeleteSpringvis good for windy days.
The walkers were like watching a short video, beautiful living. I didn't take pictures though. Folks should have their privacy.
Sounds like a good idea to view from a warm car. I don't envy dog owners having to turn out in all weathers.
ReplyDeleteLiz,
ReplyDeleteDogs don't always look happy out in awful weather.
Those fellas today appeared happy, but eager to get probably back to their warm vehicle.
Nice view
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scene. The one in the picture, and the one you describe. :)
ReplyDeleteOh it is so cold here this morning and yesterday I took out my winter jacket!
ReplyDeleteCathy
I love the last of it -- that someone takes you for a walk an d turns to check on you. I hope that too. (It got cold here, too.)
ReplyDeleteEven though it is cold - it certainly looks beautiful. Yes I hope we both have someone take us for a walk when we are older. Have a lovely weekend friend. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteAshok,
ReplyDeleteGreat view for relaxing.
Kathy,
ReplyDeleteA view of a lake calms everything.
Becki,
ReplyDeleteThe man with dogs scene, I am grateful to have seen it.
Cathy,
ReplyDeleteWinter jacket! lol
I wore mine this morning taking the covers off the flower planters. We had a hard frost last night. This Vermont zone's last frost date is this week, true to the schedule.
Jeanie,
ReplyDeleteThe four look so content to be with each other, it melts the heart.
Debbie,
ReplyDeleteA goid weekend to you
The hills of Ohio are gorgeous in the spring. I wish I was there to take a walk with you. I think of Ohio in spring and fall.
Beautiful shot! It remains cool here.
ReplyDeleteCool here as well, William
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the chill when it isn't windy like yesterday was.
Hello and thanks for visiting my blog. It's so hot here on the west coast (B.C.) that our 2 small A/Cs are going and making very little difference. I resolve not to complain when it gets chilly 💖
ReplyDeleteYou created some wonderful imagery in this post, SP. Surely, we would all wish someone would look back and check on us especially on a cold and windy walk.
ReplyDeleteGM,
ReplyDeleteGlad you have A/C.
Stay as cool as you are able
Your ducklings post melts the heart.
Beatrice,
ReplyDeleteSince posting, I remember seeing them before. The owner lifts each dog into the vehicle when it is time to leave.
