Prayers for Canada and Nova Scotia
I hate those bad fires in Canada and Nova Scotia! I'm keeping everyone in my prayers. Your veggies look good. I would probably want to add a hot pepper. But I always made salsa to can in the summer time.
ReplyDeleteGood eats! when we used to have a large veggie garden these relishes were so good home canned too-enjoy
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is better to buy the desired item than to make it. It is worth a try though as I see it!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so good! I like the idea of making it in a small quantity like that especially here where we have no means of cold storage unless we put it in the fridge where there's limited extra space.
ReplyDeleteDiane,
ReplyDeleteA few hot pepper flakes is a tasty thought. Something is needed to elevate the flavors.
Kathy,
ReplyDeleteEnd of the garden relish my mother made is a favorite.
Marie,
ReplyDeleteRelish is so easy, finding the right mix is worth the effort. Meanwhile, I will buy a jar. lol
Maryanne,
ReplyDeleteWhat I made would be great with grilled kielbasa chopped in it. Fridge wouldn't be needed. lol
I'd think that it would end up too spicy.
ReplyDeleteWilliam,
ReplyDeleteYou might be very right about that.
I'm going to try other ingredients.
Echoing those prayers friend. We have been very hazy here from the fires in Canada. Your pepper relish looks absolutely wonderful. That is something I have never made. Must give it a try. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteRelishes enhance food.
After last covid booster, my sense of taste and smell need help.
Your red pepper relish looks really good. That's great that you made it homemade. How wonderful it would be on a simple hot dog.
ReplyDeleteWe had some rain this week. Tuesday night it was the loudest thunder I've ever heard before.

Some things are just easier to buy!
ReplyDeleteSheri,
ReplyDeleteGlad y'all had some rain!
Thunderstorms are beautiful as long as they keep the lightening to themselves.
I bought hotdogs. Not my usual, but it is a special summer.
Jeanie,
ReplyDeleteYou are so right.
After using up the peppers I bought, that is what I will do. :)
