Thoughts after midnight

Looking through old photographs is strange the older the pictures are.

I do not have that paint rag anymore. I posted about it years ago, but have little memory of what I wrote about.

Thinking about changes in the approach to being a creative person, there is more to consider than I expected.

I thought all it takes is to decide what to do differently.

That isn't quite right.

How to be different takes study in order to develop that change into a lasting behavior. Many times I told myself I will only post about art, and, post my own artwork. Maybe that's the inspiration for the paint rag? Could it be I'm a sloppy artist horrible with deadlines and remembering what I plan to do? Ah, the truth

PS
All the red pepper relish is gone.
Not a tragedy, I have 3 peppers left for more.

  2. Maybe you were going to paint that rag Maywyn. It would make a good subject the way it is rolled together...I can see something abstract here :)!! Hugs

  3. William,
Change often has a cat attitude with a dash of humor.

  4. Debbie,
    That is a maybe thought.
    I went through a phase of crumpling...Aha! That's it!
I needed models of crumpled tissue for a painting.
    Thank you Debbie!

  5. I was thinking much the same as Debbie in that the paint rag would make a great painting.
I've found that creativity is an evolutionary process. For years my passion was crazy quilting and that's pretty much all I did and then suddenly it was like a switch was flipped in my brain and landscapes have become my 'thing' (albeit with a nod to my crazy quilting background). I wonder what will become the next evolution or whether there will even be one. Time will tell.

  6. Maryanne,
Your quilts are gorgeous. Whatever you do, your talent will be there.

  7. When I started years ago it was to post about art and mostly just that. I think that lasted a month. If that!

  9. Things change and people change - and it's mostly a good thing! Love the colours on your paint rag.

  10. Lorrie,
    That is true.
The more I look at the paint rag photo, the more I like it. :)
