Day 328 of Week 47 November 2024

A few things about me...

I love wicker.

Love moss and tree roots

Love working with wire

🌎🌎❄🌎🌎

Snow has been in the weather forecast here in Vermont for the higher elevations with possible snowflakes making it to the ground in the Champlain Valley.  Thus, I know there will soon be a time when I look out the window to see snow falling.

I am bracing myself with a positive attitude by a focusing on the beauty and wonderment of snow as part of Earth's Water Cycle.

Have a no snow yet weekend!

Bake a blueberry pie
Tell a glass of water your woes

    1. Carol,
The avocado is going to be interesting as I've not had good luck buying good ones.

  2. Snow later this week for us. A nice break from over three weeks of rain!

I hope the sun shines through the dark clouds over PEI.

  3. Must admit the 'read the history of shoe polish' made me laugh. They're calling for a possibility of the dreaded white stuff mid-week. I sincerely hope they're wrong.

    1. Maryanne,
The part of the weather forecast I like the best is snow in the higher elevations.

  4. We had our first snow last week. It didn't stick but a sign more is coming. The light has changed and it just feels colder!

  5. We had our first snow Wednesday, and it was a big one. I will share pictures tomorrow. I hope you don't lose power when the snow arrives. We lost it for half a day, as a tree limb fell on an electrical pole. Your list is delightful. I just baked a blueberry pie. It wasn't homemade, but fresh from the oven. Grilled cheese and avocado sounds delicious. If only I could sketch a tree outside my window. That talent belongs to You.

    1. Sheri,
Waiting for snow happens when all around there’s snowfall but not here. It feels strange not shoveling at least once in November.
That’s ok though because there’s plenty of days between now and spring for snow to fall here.
      Happy December!

  6. I'm also fond of moss on rocks and trees, and all the various lichens that grow so prolifically in our area. No snow here yet and it's always a question whether or not we'll see some. I hope!

Wishing y’all a pleasant snowfall! The kind that doesn’t get too much in the way.

  7. I am fond of snow, so will be waiting for a snowstorm, but only when I am safely indoors and watching it. We are currently in NJ where some flurries could be possible on Thanksgiving. Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving, however and wherever you will celebrate. I'm thankful for blog friendships among so many other things.

I will read about the history of shoe polish because why not?

    1. Janice,
The cold temperatures are forecast here this week, in the twenties Fahrenheit. If there’s wind, being indoors will rule the day.
