Day 289 Week 42 October 2026

In autumn, a rainy day with wind is the epitome of what an autumn vibe embodies. Along with the sadness to see the foliage colors blowing in the air, exposing bare tree branches, the heart melting coziness of fall stirs the heart.

Scrolling through Instagram videos, the ads showing up are things I like. No gross photos advertising medications is nice. There is also a good range of prices. An interesting aspect is that I’m better at identifying the styles I prefer.

Have a stylish weekend

Make squash soup
Bake up herb croutons
 Browse craft kits online
Sketch a brick building
Listen to a podcast
Set up a bird feeder
Buy a pair of spiffy socks
Listen to a symphony

  3. Funny you mentioned, "make squash soup," My son made a chicken and squash dish this week, and it was delicious. I have been looking for spiffy socks lately. A pretty autumn photo.

  4. Squash soup will soon be appearing on our menu and I'm looking forward to it. Won't be buying spiffy socks but I'm knitting a really funky pair for #1 son for Christmas. Stopped in a yarn shop when we were visiting them and the owner dyed her own and most of it was in colourways to reflect different birds. I bought the male/female cardinal version and currently have the 'female' sock nearly done. Wish I could have afforded to buy more of the beautiful colours she had on offer.
