Day 283 of Week 41 October 2025

Thinking about blogging over the years, I know many of my bright ideas haven’t shined as far as my initial enthusiasm did. Walking in the woods on a Moonless night, patches of disconnected flashlight glows are before me like dots not connecting.

Have you ever thought of what kind of brain you have? The paths it prefers to follow?

Scrolling through Instagram is opening my perspective of where I want my life to go, within the limits of age, income and health.

Granted, Instagram has thousands that post excellent advice, but putting it to good use isn’t always practical or possible.
For example, what do you do if the only people in your circle aren’t of a positive nature. Being alone has negatives that can make life worse. Expanding your circle isn’t an option you are able to pursue.
Think then, of it this way, designate each person as an uncle, aunt or cousin. Once you get that sorted, reflect on the energy you feel knowing  your turkey dressing recipe is the best dish on the table.

Have a Best of You Weekend!

Foliage & Apple Pie

Wordle in 3 for two (2) days** in a row makes me smile 😄. Yet, life, creating, blogging are all going slowish but not slower. 🥴

I heard on the news that the stress of the drought on trees can cause the foliage to turn colors sooner as well drop leaves sooner. That means now is the time to scout out locations to take photographs. Slow cannot rule when the leaf peeping   is upon us!

Going local is a goal this year. There are places in town that have a wonderful autumn vibe that I want to take pictures of. I can’t walk long or far with my bad knee, but I can walk far enough.

Another goal is not to miss pick your own apples time. I have dreams of making a real Dutch Apple Pie. Vanilla ice cream and apple pie is a great American desert that has a quaint New England vibe. Change it up to be Dutch Apple Pie and vanilla ice cream, that raises pie vibe.

   Almost

Autumn is 4 days away!

Leaves in the higher elevations are showing fall colors. It is still daylight at 6 PM EDT, but I need to turn on  the living room lamp. I can see the sun on the tree tops and shadow down to the ground.
